This is an important article on sugar that I recommend as a good read on just how dangerous sugar can be. After reading this I feel like I don't want to use our jar of natural honey for my steel-cut, multigrain, or quinoa oatmeal breakfast anymore...perhaps maybe once in a decade! ![]()

Thank you so much for posting that. I have cut sugar most of the way out of my diet (I still use Agave nectar on some things, and I eat some sugary stuff if it's around), but I need motivation for continuing to do so, because I'd started to feel like I was going overboard. Although, interestingly, ever since I went on Synthroid (I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune disorder, and thyroid cancer which hasn't been treated yet) if I eat simple carbohydrates without protein or a lot of sugar, within a few hours I get dizzy and nauseated and feel just horrible - I need to see my doctor and find out whether it could be the medication or whether going on the medication could have triggered hypoglycemia of some kind - so now if I can just remember that that's what happens, maybe it'll keep me away. In the meantime I'm printing this article and taping it up somewhere prominent in my kitchen.
